How does the new "Citofonía" update work?
To receive calls from the security guard via the virtual intercom, you must enable the following permissions on your phone:
Go to Munily.
Menú (Menu).
Settings.
Go to Notificaciones y correo (Notifications & Email) and verify that these options are enabled:
- Visitor Notifications: Enable this option to receive notifications when the security guard begins the visitor check-in process.
- Reservation Reminder: Enable this option to receive a notification 1 hour in advance, reminding you of the reservation.
- Communications: Enable this option to receive notifications when the property management sends an announcement.
- Receive calls from the security guard: Enable this option so the security guard can send you relevant information.
In the Notification Settings section, make sure the Receive calls from the security guard option is enabled.
Below these options, you’ll see your registered phone number. If you need to add or change your number, you can do so in the corresponding section.
When you receive a call from the front desk, you’ll see the security guard’s name and the name of your residential unit.
On the active call screen, you’ll find the following options:
- Speakerphone: When enabled, the call is played through the speaker; when disabled, the phone’s earpiece is used.
- Microphone: Mute mode disables the microphone, preventing the security guard from hearing you; when you turn it off, communication resumes.
- Hang Up: Allows both parties to end the call.
If you’re using the app, you’ll receive this notification when the security guard’s call comes in.
When you answer, you’ll be redirected to the call screen with the speaker, microphone, and hang-up options.
If you’re not in the app, you’ll receive a notification that takes you to the screen to answer the call.
You can expand the notification and answer the call.
If your phone is locked, only the Answer option will be displayed.
If you are not registered in the app, you will receive an email notifying you that the security guard is trying to contact you.
This email will include a welcome message from Munily, indicating that the security guard assigned to your phone is trying to contact you. You will also find links to download the Munily app on iOS and Android.
When you click on the Android link, you’ll be redirected to Google Play to download the app.
When you click on the iOS link, you’ll be redirected to the App Store to download the app.
